Den Gamle Digegaard welcomes you in the old thatched half-timbered buildings, which contain exciting chapters from Lolland’s history.

Located just behind the dike, just a few steps from the Baltic Sea, with one of the best beaches on the south coast of Lolland. Here there is plenty of opportunity for a swimming experience, fishing and a nice walk or bike ride on the newly named Europe’s best cycling route – Østeruten N8.

With the Baltic Sea as the closest neighbor, a selection of fresh fish is a natural raw material.

Fried wild eels with accessories have always been the inn’s specialty.

Digegaardens Smokery also offers a wonderful selection of smoked products, of course from local fishermen, which can be taken home or enjoyed on site, maybe in the company of  a renowned local beer from the Krenkerup Estate.

-So throw off your shoes, feel the sand between your toes and stay a few days.

Season’s End – Thank You for a Wonderful Year at Den Gamle Digegaard

After a lovely and eventful season, the courtyard has now grown quiet.
Den Gamle Digegaard and our cozy smokehouse are now closed for the 2025 season – and we’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has visited us this year.

Thank you to all the guests who enjoyed our summer lunches, buffets, and open-air concerts. To those who celebrated weddings, birthdays, company events, and other special moments with us – and to everyone who simply stopped by for a glass of wine, a piece of smoked fish, or a peaceful moment in our garden.

It has been a season filled with smiles, great food, music, and wonderful memories, and we couldn’t have asked for better guests.

Even though winter is upon us, the farm is far from empty. We remain open for private parties, gatherings, and a few special events throughout the rest of the year – so feel free to contact us if you’d like to celebrate something special in our charming, historic surroundings.

We already look forward to welcoming you again when we open for a new season in 2026 – with new dishes, new experiences, and the same warm atmosphere as always.
