A historic inn with the sea close at heart
Den gamle Digegaard is located just a few steps from the Baltic Sea in Hummingen. Here, thatched roofs, timber framing and Lolland history meet genuine hospitality, quality ingredients and plenty of room to gather.
We are not a traditional à la carte restaurant with the same daily service all year round. Celebrations, special events and seasonal dining experiences are at the heart of what we do. We therefore recommend checking the current programme or contacting us before visiting the restaurant.

A good meal brings people together. We tailor the service and menu to your occasion, guided by the season, local traditions and quality ingredients. Many dishes gain their distinctive character from freshly smoked products made by Smoked by George in the smokehouse right here at the inn.

The smokehouse at the inn
Smoked by George is part of the flavour of Digegaarden
Our own smokehouse, Smoked by George, is located right here at the inn. Fish and seafood are smoked with time, craftsmanship and respect for the ingredients.
The freshly smoked products are sold from the smokehouse and also find their way into several of the restaurant’s dishes, buffets and special dining experiences. The restaurant and smokehouse are therefore naturally connected.

Den gamle Digegaard has been run as an inn and restaurant since 1974. Today, the place is carried forward with respect for its history, craftsmanship and the special atmosphere that only develops in a place with a long life behind it.
